Mr. Gene Dempsey Davis, 84, of Columbia, formerly of Linden passed away Thursday September 21, 2017 at his home. Mr. Davis was born in Waverly to the late Charles Clifford Davis and Susie Myrtle Holland Davis. He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during Korea and a retired Refrigeration Engineer, last working for Sasib, LLC. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Netta Landers Davis, a grandson Ian Davis Wyatt, sisters Vourhe Burns and Oveda Burns and a brother Holland Davis. Survivors include his daughters Mitzi Hedgepath of Linden and Susan (Charles) Myatt of Columbia, grandchildren Jeremy Haynes, Rodney Haynes-Booth, Wesley Hedgepath and Tiffany Duncan Woodie, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
