William Elbert "Bill" Marvin, of Linden passed away Thursday June 8, 2017. He was born in Perry County to the late Elbert Marvin and Elsie Ward Marvin. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was a retired Railroad Conductor with C & O Railroad in Michigan. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wives Jewell Chandler Bates and Retta Sue Ledbetter, a brother Robert Bobby Marvin, sister-in-laws Peggy Martin Marvin and Alice Faye Southerland Marvin and brother-n-laws Leslie Hester and J.B. Smith Survivors include his wife Wilma Marvin, a son Joe Marvin of Lobelville, step-children Sherry Mercer, Billie Ann Bates , grandsons Jeremy Marvin of Columbia and Kevin Marvin of Lyles, sisters Hattye Jo Smith of Gallatin and Bertie Jean Hester of New Johnsonville, brothers Jerry Marvin of Atlanta and Jim Marvin of Nashville/Linden and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
