Guss Gobelet Dabbs

Mr. Guss Gobelet Dabbs, 90, of Nashville, formerly of Linden passed away Sunday November 17,2019. He was born in Linden to the late Ike Dabbs and Sue Gobelet Dabbs. Guss attended schools in Perry County through his high school graduation. He drove a truck for O'Guin Freight in Linden until enlisting in the the US Air Force during the Korean War. After leaving the service, Guss attended Freed-Hardeman College and Middle Tennessee State College receiving a Masters in Education. Upon graduation he worked for the Tennessee State of Vocational Rehabilitation until his retirement. Retirement years saw him enjoying life with his wife, Joyce, on the family farm on Marsh Creek in Linden.  In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Joyce LaRue Dabbs. Survivors include his children Douglas (Ramona) Dabbs of Nashville, Suzanne (Mark) Reeves of Madison, AL, grandchildren Douglas (Nicole) Dabbs, Jr., McKenna (Tom) Szaniawski, Sean Williams, Adam Williams and Daniel Williams, great-grandchildren Grayden Dabbs, Adeline Dabbs and Daniel Williams, Jr. and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
