Mr. James Alvin Cotton, 89, of Linden passed away Thursday May 18, 2017 at Perry Community Hospital. He was born in Perry County to the late Roger Lee Cotton and May Lee Bates Cotton. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was retired from the Alabama Soil Conservation Service where he was a Soil Scientist for 37 years. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother Van Cotton. Survivors include his wife Nova Horner Cotton, sons Brent Cotton of Birmingham and Al Cotton of Atlanta, grandchildren Kelsey, David and Daniel Cotton.
