Mr. Max Reece Murdock, of Linden passed away Thursday September 14, 2017 at Decatur County Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Linden to the late Willie Edward Murdock and Annie Flowers Murdock. He was a United States Army Veteran,  retired from Johnson Controls/Team Linden, a carpenter and in his earlier years an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Jewel Murdock, a son Bill Murdock, grandson Ryan Parnell, sister Jacquline Jones and brothers Lewis, Wilburn and G.W. "Buck" Murdock. Survivors include his daughter Sue (Dale) Parnell, daughter-in-law Gwen Murdock, grandchildren Tyler, Abby and Brady Murdock, great-grandchildren Blaine and Nate Murdock, Spencer and Parker Parnell, a brother Joe Murdock and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
