Anita Kay "Susie" Roe

Mrs. Anita Kay "Susie" Roe, 79, of Linden, formerly of Morgan County, IN, passed away Saturday December 4, 2021 at her home. She was born in Martinsville, IN to the late Raymond Hilderbrand and Vera Arnold Hilderbrand. Mrs. Roe was a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother and homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Hindustan Christian Church in Bloomington, IN. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and traveling across country with her husband on their motorcycle. On November 8, 1957, she married her teenage sweetheart, William Franklin Roe. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a son Ronald Roe and a daughter Anita Roe.

Together they shared seven children David (Pamela) Roe and William (Tonya) Roe, II both of Martinsville, IN, Jim (Raquel) Roe of Mooresville, IN, Steven (Maria) Roe and Dennis (Karla) Roe both of Indianapolis, twenty-one grandchildren, sixty-five great-grandchildren, two brothers Donald Hilderbrand of Lafayette, IN and Jim Ray (Barb) of Buck Creek, IN, three sisters Linda Spears and Nancy (Joe) Taylor both of Lafayette, IN and Margie Webb of Evansville, IN.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday December 13, 2021 at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center, 110 E. Poston Road, Martinsville, IN. A service celebrating Anita's life will begin on Tuesday December 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center. She will be laid to rest at Crown Center Cemetery in Stilesville, IN.
