Barbara J. Moore

Miss Barbara Jean Moore, 73, of Linden passed away Monday April 25, 2022 at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born in Nashville to the late John Moore and Neva Graham Moore. She was a retired School Teacher, teaching for a combined 40 years. She began her teaching career as soon as she graduated college, at New Providence Middle School in Clarksville and obtained her Masters Degree while teaching. She also taught at Kenwood Middle School teaching 7th and 8th grade Science at both schools. In 1998 she moved back to Linden and began teaching Science at Linden Middle School. She really loved teaching. She was a member of the Women Teachers Sorority Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Alpha Rho Chapter, of Perry, Wayne, Lewis and Hickman Counties. She was a member of Howards United Methodist Church where she sometimes played the piano. While in Clarksville she played the bells in the Bell Choir at her church. She loved sewing, quilting, reading and even took a class to learn how to do stained glass. 

Survivors include her brother Jim Moore, a niece Camilla (Kevin) Travis both of Linden and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
