Mr. Barry Don Parnell, 73, of Nashville, passed away Saturday January 10, 2026 at NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro, Tn. He was born in Lobelville to the late Don Parnell and Dorris "Sister" Cotham Parnell. He was retired from Kemps Kourier Service where he worked as a Kourier. Barry was a graduate of Glenncliff High School, Class of 1971 and enjoyed meeting often with his classmates who are lifelong friends. He was an AVID Vanderbilt fan, enjoying all of their sports but especially baseball and football. He attended many games throughout the years. Barry enjoyed spending time with his family at their camp in Perry County on the river and 70's music. Barry was baptized into Christ early in life and later attended both the Methodist and Baptist Church. He was very well liked in the community where he lived.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother Daryl Parnell and first cousin's Julia Edwards and Doug Landers.
Survivors include his aunt Linda Edwards Cotham of Bell Buckle, first cousins Kimberly Cotham Smith of Franklin, Robin Cotham Driscoll of Murfreesboro, Peter Landers and Mark Landers, and a host of friends.
