Benjamin Byno Batey

Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Byno Batey, 64, of Dickson, passed away Saturday September 10, 2022 at his home. He was the son of the late Byno and Barbara Marlene Heath Batey of Dickson, Tn. Ben had a vast knowledge and skill with machinery and equipment. He used that to establish a successful business for himself known as Batey Backhoe Service, at a young age. He was dedicated to many Funeral Homes for over 40 years in multiple counties and communities. Ben, always known for being a sharp dresser, also had a vast love of music, travel and fishing. He was also known for his knack of fixing up sharp vehicles....but most of all Ben loved his children, grandchildren and family.

Survivors include his sons Joshua (Nicole)  Batey of Nashville, Tn., and Coty Batey of Dickson, Tn., a step-daughter Jessica (Clint) Hopper of Charlotte, Tn., a sister Sheila (Michael) Batey Bradford of Franklin, Tn., ex-wife, best friend and business partner for 35 years Angela Batey (James) Breeden of Dickson, Tn., grandchildren Rowan Batey, Heath Batey, Addison Batey, Waylon Batey, Andi Rose Batey, Harli Blanks, A.J. Hopper, Landry Hopper and Weslee Hopper and many friends. Ben will be missed by many! 

Following Ben's wishes, cremation was chosen.
