Mrs. Brenda Sue Brooks Hollis, 83, of Lobelville, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center. She was born in Madison, Tennessee to the late James Alexander Brooks and Myrtle Frances Myers Brooks on April 5,1941. She was a 1959 graduate of Madison High School. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for a number of years as a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide for Robertson County Schools. She was a member of the Lobelville First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Dayton Hollis, her siblings Bobby and Adean Brooks, Jimmy and Del Brooks, Sandra Beaty, and Frances Irene Brooks.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children Rhonda and Eric Schaub of West Columbia, South Carolina and Tammy and Donald Stevens of Nashville, Tennessee. Her grandchildren Magan and Daniel Hunter of Greenbrier, Tennessee, Cheyenne and Jessica Schaub of Summertown, Tennessee, Kayti Apodaca and Brady McWhorter of Lobelville, Tennessee, Cody Schaub of West Columbia, South Carolina, James Apodaca of Greenbrier, Tennessee, and Cassidy Schaub of West Columbia, South Carolina. Her great-grandchildren Kara Hunter, Dayton Hunter and Max Hunter of Greenbrier, Tennessee, Arianna Michaud of West Columbia, South Carolina, and Scarlett and Zelma McWhorter of Lobelville, Tennessee, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
