Carolyn Long Witherington

Ms. Carolyn Fay Long Hickerson Witherington, 79, of Linden, passed away Tuesday August 22, 2023 at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born in Lobelville to the late James William "Bill" Long and Lathel Marchbanks Long. She was a graduate of Lobelville High School Class of 1962. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, doing puzzles and listening to Jerry Lee Lewis music.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Willard Witherington, a son Jason Hickerson, a daughter Vickey Johnson, and sisters Milldred Long and Ruth B. Myatt.

Survivors include her children Andrea (Roy) Berry of Augusta, GA, Rickey (Jenny) Hickerson of Lobelville, TN, Timothy (Sonia) Witherington of Bolivar, TN and Steven Witherington of Savannah, TN, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Marie Ward of Linden, TN and Juanita Walker of Bellevue, TN and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
