He is survived by his wife, LaDon, daughter, Raygan (Denny) Edney, and grandchildren Ethan, Conner, and Laila Edney.
Chester dedicated his life to sharing his love and expertise for woodwork. He served the Perry County School District as the high school CTE Architecture and Construction Instructor for 36 years. Later, he was brought out of retirement to collaborate with the Perry County Sheriff’s Department to establish the “Jailbirds” woodworking program where he mentored inmates for five more years. Many of his former students have testified that Mr. Ezell not only shared his love for the trade, but instilled life skills that set them up to become successful adults.
