Christopher “Chris” Lee Dill, 56, passed away on January 29, 2026. Chris was born on September 11, 1969 in Memphis, TN and lived life his own way. He didn’t need much to be happy - just a garage, the outdoors, and something to tinker with. He loved working on cars, especially fast cars, and could spend hours fixing, rebuilding, figuring out how to make thing run just a little better. If you were looking for him, you would would most likely find him walking through the woods exploring with his dogs, or driving his car a little too fast. He loved being outside, had a soft spot for animals, and never lost his curiosity about the world. Whether he was staring up through his telescope thinking about outer space, or swapping stories about Bigfoot, Chris held onto that sense of wonder his whole life. He was not someone who needed or wanted the spotlight. Many people did not know him well, but those close to him knew how smart, loving, and kind he truly was. He made the world a more interesting place. Chris is survived by his partner in life, Beth Arnold; his sisters, Lauren (Jay) Salhany Smith, Lindsey (Wess) Ward, Katelyn (Adam) Pratt; his brother, Blake (Reagan) Dill; his stepmother, Wendy Dill; his brothers by marriage, Dr. Kenneth Salhany, Keith (Lynn) Salhany; his sister by marriage, Karen Salhany Hutchens; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Dill; his mother, Paula Salhany; his stepfather, Dr. Earl Salhany; and his grandparents, Garvice and Marie Shepard, Herbert and Laverne Dill.
