Mr. Clarence Green, 65, of Clifton, passed away December 30, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. He was born in Willard, Ohio to the late Troy Green and Parrot Handshoe Green. He had held many jobs during his working life, but lastly had worked as security guard at Wayne Medical Center and corrections officer at the Wayne County jail. His last job he worked on the river as a commercial fisherman. Mr. Green loved anything "Outdoors". He spent time hunting and fishing and cooking for other people. He was a very giving person, always willing to help others. Many times he had stopped and helped strangers traveling on the highways who were broke down. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Robin Zimmerman Green.
Survivors include his son Jim (Tiffaney) Green of Waynesboro; three daughters Brandy (Shanon) Gayheart of Clarksville, Candy (Lonnie) Calton, and Allison Green, both of Clifton; Life mate Gwyn Lacher, of Clifton; brothers Ricky and Roy Green both of Indiana; two sisters Edna Brown and Rita Collins both of Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and many other family members and many friends.
