Mr. Fielder Dale Hufstedler, 73, of Linden passed away Friday October 21, 2022 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. He was born in Centerville to the late Herbert Clovis Hufstedler and Ruby Elizabeth Byrd Hufstedler. After graduating High School Dale joined the Army. After serving his country he moved to Maryland where he was an iron worker for several years before moving back to Tennessee. He worked a couple of years for the State Prison System and worked in construction numerous years. He went to work at Johnson Controls as a shipping clerk, working for 11years before he started his own business Dale's Backhoe Service. Here he found his niche and worked several years. He then went to work doing building and repairs for David Richardson/Richardson Real Estate until he permanently retired. Dale was a great outdoors man. His two biggest passions were fishing and hunting. He was fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel all over North America from Alaska and Canada to Mexico to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brothers Joe and Bill Hufstedler.
Survivors include his wife Catherine "Cathy" Gallagher Hufstedler, his children Beth Arnold, Tina Autry, Ricky Dale Autry and Sammy Brasher, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a sister Diana (David) Richardson, a brother Steve Hufstedler and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
