Mr. Danny Lynn Lomax, 62, of Linden, passed away Friday October 1, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters following an extended illness. Danny was the first child born to Joe Dan Lomax of Linden and Lona Bell "Tootsie" Gwinn Lomax of Meadowbridge, WV. A life-long resident of Linden, Danny learned the value of hard work from a very young age when he grew up running heavy equipment for his father's chert business. He went on to marry Kimberly Jo Lewis on November 13, 1976. They share two daughters, Christy and Amy. Danny remained on the family farm and continued to operate the chert business as 3D Rock Co. for serveral years, having made many friends of his customers and their drivers during this time.
Danny later joined the oil and gas pipeline industry as a utility inspector, where he and his wife enjoyed seeing new places, meeting new people and making many life-long friends during their pipeline travels. He enjoyed fishing, playing solitaire and riding backroads in his spare time. He was a member of the Perry Independent Baptist Church in Linden and he loved his church family. Danny touched many lives with his kindness and humor. He will be greatly missed.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents Joe Dan and "Tootsie" Gwinn Lomax and a sister Kimberly Ann Richardson.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Kim Lewis Lomax, daughters Christy Karpati and Amy (Matthew Warren) Renfroe both of Linden, grandchildren Chesney (Adam) Degraw, Hunter Karpati, Spencer Karpati, Cheston Renfroe and Chance Warren, great-granddaughter Azlynn Ward, sisters Betty (Geoffrey) Galloway and Tammy Morris, a brother David (Lisa) Lomax all of Linden and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
