Edward Mercer

Mr. James Edward Mercer, 69, of Linden, passed away Tuesday January 28, 2025 at his home. He was born in Nashville to the late Johnny Mercer and Velma Raye Anderson Mercer.  He was a graduate of Perry County High School Class of 1973. He worked in the Sawmill and Logging business most of his life. Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising horses and other animals and going to Tunica. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his sister Velma Sims and a grandson Jackson Mercer.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Hunt Mercer, sons Curt (Shelly) Mercer and Phillip Mercer both of Linden, grandchildren Sandra Marie Mercer, Ashlynn Mercer, Jake Mercer, Cole Mercer and Sarah Mercer, great-grandson Winston and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
