Mrs. Essie Broadway King, 95, of Clifton passed away Sunday May 15, 2022 at her home. She was born in Perry County to the late Grady Broadway and Eula Smith Broadway. She had worked for many years as an inspector at Linden Apparel Corporation, plant 2. She was a graduate of Linden High School Class of 1944. Ms. Essie enjoyed crocheting, cooking and working outside. She was a member of the Mt. Auburn Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Bill King, a daughter Billie Davis, a sister Virginia Richardson and brother-in-law Joe Richardson.
Survivors include her daughters Barbara (Chuck) Williams of Dover and Peggy (Tommy) Worley of Clifton, grandchildren Gina (Rudd) Erisman, Tara (Paul) England and Lisa (Brent) Wallace, step-grandchildren Tommy (Rene) Worley, Jr., Darryl (Kimberly) Worley and Barry Worley, great-grandchildren Collin (Amber) Lancaster, Rachel (Ian) Hamilton, Peyton Wallace, Rhett England and Alicia Wallace, step-great-grandchildren Rhett, Rafe and Riley Erisman, two great-great-grandchildren Tinley and Rex Lancaster and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
