Etta Elizabeth Gwinn Duncan, 58, of Linden, passed away Sunday April 19, 2026 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was born on November 5th, 1967 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville to Rena Clem Gwinn and the late Elmer Douglas Gwinn.
Etta enjoyed being outside, working with her plants, shopping, crafting and catching crawfish in the creek with the kids in the summertime. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her father she is also preceded in death by a granddaughter Jerzie Elyse Duncan, a brother Douglas Hampton "Little Doug" Gwinn and a niece Sarabeth Gwinn.
Survivors in addition to her mother Rena Clem Gwinn include her 5 children Marty James Duncan, Jr., Jonathan Douglas Duncan, Nicholas Robert (Brittany) Duncan, Hannah Grace Duncan Ross and Katie Faith Duncan, her 12 grandchildren Aniston, Gunner, Gatlin, Braelyn, Gander, Owen, Cooper, Connor, Clayton, Cohen, Caizlee and Journie, her husband Marty James Duncan, Sr., a brother Jonathan (Pam) Gwinn, and 2 sisters Debbie Gwinn and Sheilla Warren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children, aunts and many friends.
To know Etta was to love her. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She was so loved and will be deeply missed.
