Greetus Ann Gladden

Greetus Ann Gladden, age 81, of Linen, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2022.  She was the youngest of five siblings born to the late William Rex Wisdom and Lillian Ellis Pitts Wisdom of Topsy, TN. Greetus was a 1959 graduate of Wayne County High School.  After High School she met and married Wayne Gladden.  He was the love of her life.  They were married for 58 years.  During that time, they were blessed with one son, one granddaughter and two great granddaughters.  Throughout her life she worked in manufacturing, starting at Genesco, then Washington Mfg. and lastly Johnson Controls, until her retirement.  She was a faithful Christian woman that enjoyed attending New Hope Baptist Church in Hohenwald.  In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, playing cards, baking, travelling, spoiling her grandchildren, and spending time with family.  

Greetus is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Willodean Peeler, Johnnie Wisdom, Jimmie Wisdom and Murel Wisdom.  She is survived by her husband Wayne Gladden; son Terry (Melanie) Gladden; granddaughter Rachel (Justin ) Marshall; great granddaughters Abby and Alyza Marshall; she is also survived by a host of Nieces and Nephews and many extended family members and many many friends.
