Larry Henry Niece, known affectionately as Henry, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on April 14, 2026, in Lobelville, Tennessee. Born on January 11, 1957, in Decaturville, Tennessee, Henry spent the majority of his life in Tennessee.
A graduate of Perry County High School, Class of 1975, Henry dedicated many years to his career as a heavy equipment operator before retiring. Known for his strong work ethic and expertise, Henry was respected by his colleagues.
Henry served proudly in the Navy, where his service to the country was a significant part of his life, and the values he learned during this time shaped many of his relationships and achievements.
Beyond his professional and military life, Henry was a outdoorsman who relished fishing and coon hunting. Many fond memories were made during his quiet times spent porch sitting, where he shared stories and laughter with family and friends.
Family was the cornerstone of Henry's life. He is survived by his sons, Justin (Jaclyn) Niece of Linden and Mason (Mackenzie) Niece of Parsons; grandchildren, Madison (Drew) Irwin, Neyland Niece, McKinley Niece Sullivan, Grayson Niece, Garrett Niece, Gabby Niece, and Baker Niece; sisters, Carla (Shawn) Higham, Glenda Adkins, Betty Berringer; and brother, Randy Niece. Henry also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will miss his guidance and love. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Dorothy Norman Niece; son, Jonathan Niece; brothers, Donnie and Edward Niece; and sister, Lois Garton.
A graveside service will be held at Niece Cemetery on Friday, April 17th at 1:00 pm. Young Funeral Home of Linden, Tennessee, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
Henry's legacy as a hardworking, family-oriented man who loved his country and the outdoors will live on through the stories told by his loved ones and the community he held dear. His life was a testament to the values of dedication, family, and service, leaving lasting impressions on all who knew him.
