Jack Groom

Mr. Jack Garry Groom, 83, of Linden passed away Thursday May 27, 2021 at Maury Regional Hospital. He was born in Linden to the late Grady Groom and Lova Hensley Groom. He was a retired Bridge Superintendent from McKinnon Bridge Company where he worked for 30 plus years. Mr. Jack was a member of the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding his side by side, doing word search books, riding around the county with his wife, loved his dogs and most importantly loved being with his family. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his sisters Lillian Carroll, Zula Pipkin and Montie Skelton, brothers Ferd, Mirl, Joe, Wint and R T Groom.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Dorothy Hickerson Groom, daughters Lana (Jeff) Martindale of Collierville and Lisa (Sammy) Hunt of Linden, grandchildren Will and Jack Martindale and Lauren (Dalton) Broadway.
