Mr. Yarbrough was born in Linden to the late Frank Yarbrough and Evelyn Ward Yarbrough. He was a United States Army Veteran. James was last employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for C.W. Construction Company in Georgia. James had a one of a kind personality, prior to his illness James was very quiet and basically a loner. He enjoyed watching western cowboy movies. James attended Roberts Chapel AME Church in Linden and often spoke about the good Lord’s blessings in his life. James will be sadly missed. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister Velton Yarbrough and a brother Danny Yarbrough.
Survivors include his children James “Pooh Bear” (Tish) Yarbrough, Jr. of Linden, Timothy Majors of Cleveland, Ohio, Chad Crouch of Florida, Shannon Webster of Nashville and Jennifer (Travis) Thornton of Linden, grandchildren Kiana Edney, Makayla Thornton, Alana Thornton, Keosha Yarbrough, Mia Yarbrough, Takia Yarbrough, Tela Webster, Marcus Webster and Demarcus Lee, 6 great-grandchildren, a loving sister Linda Yarbrough Dale of Linden, a niece Karen Yarbrough, nephews Eric Yarbrough, Prentice (Shanna) Majors, Joe Dale and Marquiz Dale, a host of great nieces, great nephews, a devoted cousin Timothy (Sheilah) Sanders of Georgia and other loving family members and many friends.
