Mr. James Adolph Halford, Jr., 77, of Clifton, went to his heavenly home on Friday July 14, 2023. He passed peacefully at his home in Clifton, Tn. with family and friends by his side. He was born in Perry County, TN, to the late James Adolph Halford, Sr. and Golden Walker Halford. He was united in marriage to Doris Smith Halford on January 9, 1965.
Mr. Halford was employed at Linden Products for 10 years, he was a monument salesman for Leoma Monuments, and he bought Halford's Grocery at the time of his parent's retirement and ran "the store" making his famous bologna sandwiches until December 31, 2007 when he retired.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his grandparents George and Gertrude Halford, George and Zenoba Walker, several aunts and uncles, and a special uncle Randolph Halford.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Doris Smith Halford, a daughter Tonya Ricketts of Clifton, a granddaughter Jordan (Bryce) Howell of Clifton, great-grandchildren Eisley, Atticus and Lorelei Howell, a sister Sussie (Kenneth) Holt of Clifton and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Holder, Gary Culp, Michael O'Neal, Travis O'Neal, Keith Holt, and Kaden Holt. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Wheat and Atticus Howell.
