James "Jimmy' Dowdy, Jr.

Mr. James "Jimmy" Allen Dowdy, Jr., 58, of Linden, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday November 21, 2023. He was born in Dearborn, Michigan to the late James Allen Dowdy, Sr. and Patricia Carol Eastep Dowdy. He was employed with the Sanitation Department of Perry County Government. He liked anything to do with the outside, especially mowing and hunting. He loved Michigan football.

Survivors include his brother John (Adrienne) Dowdy of Linden, Carolyn (Charles) Dowdy- Desfosses of Sarasota, Fl., fiance and soon to have been wife Melissa Qualls Warren of Linden, her children Kelissa (Dalton) Pylant, Marissa (Mitchell) Coble and Delissa (Caleb Turnbo) Warren, granddaughter Bristal Coble, nieces Meghan Estrada, Julie Dowdy, nephews Derek Dowdy, Adam Dowdy and Christopher Dowdy- Desfosses, great nieces Analydia, Aracely and Mia Estrada and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
