Jimmy Dan Rainey

Mr. Jimmy Dan Rainey, 92, of Linden, passed away Saturday April 12, 2025 at the VA Hospital in Nashville. He was born in Linden to the late Watt Yeiser Rainey and Mildred Lorene Rainey. He was self-employed as a Landscaper. Jimmy Dan was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just being outside. He most importantly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Wilma Lorene Clenney Rainey, sons Roger Rainey and Tony Crumby, grandchildren Jonathan Crumby, T.J. Crumby and Sheena Crumby, a great-grandson Walker McClain, a brother Wayne Rainey and a son-in-law Mike Hovatter.

Survivors include his daughters Lisa (Delbert) Gray of Bon Aqua and Sonya Hovatter of Linden, his sons Kemp (DeLisa) Rainey of Lobelville and Dexter (Ginger) Rainey of Parsons, 13 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
