Ms. Joan Ledbetter Holder, 84, of Linden passed away Friday July 15, 2022 at her home. She was born in Linden to the late Sam Ledbetter and Lossie Hinson Ledbetter. Joan graduated from Linden High School Class of 1956. She was a member of the Basketball team. After graduating high school she became a Registered Nurse. She was the Public Health Nurse at the Perry County Health Department for several years. Joan was one of the first to take the test for Nursing Home Administrators. In 1967 Joan and her husband were the first leaser's and Administrators of the Perry County Nursing Home. They served from 1967 to 1974, after which they went to Hohenwald to run Lewis County Manor. She was presently a RN at Perry County Nursing Home. Joan enjoyed going to Daytona Beach every year at the same time with her family and friends, going to the Nashville Quartet Convention and was an avid sports fan, especially loving Basketball. She was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Kennith Waine Holder, a son Donald Waine Holder and a granddaughter Brandy Mathis.
Survivors include her daughter Sandra Jo Mathis of Linden and a grandson Zach Mathis of Linden and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
