John "Big John" Treadwell

Mr. John Wayne "Big John" Treadwell, 67, of Lobelville, passed away Wednesday April 9, 2025 at Centennial Medical Center. He was born in Hohenwald to the late William Ottis Treadwell and Mary Willie Pulley Treadwell. He was a United States Army Veteran. John played Basketball for Perry County and Wayne County. He enjoyed watching all sports, going fishing and going to flea markets. He was an Over The Road Truck Driver for 9 years and also worked at Bates, LLC in Lobelville. 

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Strong Treadwell, a sister Linda "Sis" Treadwell and a brother James "Red" Treadwell.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Treadwell, his children Bubba (Amanda) Treadwell  and Selena Barnes both of Linden, grandchildren Colton Cotham, Bryant Treadwell, Dresden Barnes, Treyton Treadwell and Baylee Treadwell, Christian Ykema-Mayhew, Elijah Berberette, Charles Ykema, Alley Berberette, Matthew Mayhew Berberette, great-grandchildren Lyrik Mayhew and Finnley Ykema, brothers Hoss (Brenda) Treadwell and Tooie Treadwell both of Linden and a host of other loving family members and many friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home for burial expenses.
