Mr. John "Johnny" Allen Hunter, Jr., 71, of Lobelville, passed away Sunday September 21, 2025 at Maury Regional Hospital. He was born in Washington State to the late John Allen Hunter, Sr. and Nonnie Bell Barrett Hunter. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving for 6 years as a paratrooper. Johnny was a police officer, having worked for Cheatham County, Ashland City and most of his 28 year career for the City of Belle Meade, before retiring to Lobelville.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother Donnie Hunter.
Survivors include his wife Connie Bush Hunter, children Steven (Carmen) Hunter, Amy (Shawn) Harris and Christopher (Sherry) Hunter, grandchildren Nick (Brian) Hunter, Zachary Hunter, John Harris and Ethan Hunter, a sister Theresa Embrey, brothers Barry (Sandra) Hunter, Joe Hunter and Eddie (Debbie) Hunter, sister-in-law Beverly (Glenn) Simmons, brothers-in-law Eugene and Paul Bush, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery.
