Jorene Young Choate

Ms. Jorene Young Moore Choate, 85, of Linden passed away Saturday July 23, 2022 at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born in Linden to the late Joe Young and Watsie Wade Young Skelton. She was a graduate of Linden High School. Jorene had worked at Dr. Jordan's Dentist office and as a cook at Linden Elementary. She had also worked at Turney Center in Only and was a member of the Perry County School Board for several years. She also was manager of the Linden Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and sewing. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by both her husbands Leonard Moore and Bill Choate, a son Ronald Moore and a daughter Lenjoy Moore Wilsdorf McDaniel.

Survivors include her grandson Jason Wilsdorf, special friend and caregiver Frank Procopio of Linden, a special cousin Linda Sue (Robert) Dedrick of Linden and great-grandchildren Ethan, Avah and Alexander Wilsdorf and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
