Mrs. Juanita Cox Horner, 80, of Linden, passed away Friday May 17, 2024 at St. Thomas Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly. She was born in Marked Tree, AR. to the late Millard Cox and Ruth McDonald Cox. She was a surgical tech retired from Baptist Hospital in Memphis. She enjoyed painting, tending her flowers, fishing and water skiing. Juanita was a member of the Church of God.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a sister Anna Belle Waldo, brothers Alford Cox, Michael Ray Cox, Floyd Cox, Millard Cox, Jr., and Larry Cox.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James O. Horner, sons Jimmy (Angela) Horner of Linden and Mark Horner of Memphis, grandchildren Chase Horner of Memphis, Jay (Lauren) Smith of Franklin and Ansley Smith of Memphis, a great-grandson Spencer Smith, sisters Faye Cox of Marked Tree, AR., Jeannie (Otis) Blansett of Forrest City, AR. and Debbie Smith Tyronza, AR., and a host of other loving nieces and nephews and many friends.
