Junior Plunkett

Mr. Junior "Bob" Plunkett, 93, of Linden, was called home on Monday March 4, 2024 at Decatur County Healthcare and Rehab. He was born in Linden to the late John Campbell Plunkett and Mattie Dell Harrington Plunkett. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was retired from Firestone. Junior also enjoyed going to flea markets.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife of 25 years Mary Beasley Plunkett, three sisters Alma Creasy, Illa Kilpatrick and Betty Conder and a brother Joe Plunkett.

Survivors include his daughters Donna (Phillip) Farmer and Rebecca Phelps both of Springfield, Tn., a step-daughter Anita (James) Barnes of Darden, grandchildren Misty (Chip) Pitzer, David Cockrill, Alex Friend, Holly (Lawrence) Shafer, Christopher Frizzell and 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family members and many friends.

He is loved by his family and many friends and will be missed, but we are comforted in knowing that he is in his eternal home with Jesus and his beloved wife Mary.
