Mr. Larry Churchwell, 74, of Linden, TN, formerly Muscatine, IA, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the VA in Nashville.
Larry was born June 5, 1946 to John Carl and Beulah Mae (Oliver) Churchwell. After school, he joined the army and served two tours in Vietnam. A large portion of his adult life was spent in Muscatine, IA where he married and had two children and operated his construction business (Muscatine Home Improvements).
In 2011, Larry met Carolyn and moved to Linden. They spent their time traveling and were active members of Maple Valley Baptist Church.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was dedicated to helping his church and those in need. Larry was also very patriotic and had a strong love for his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Louetta Rowe and Susie Smith, and brother James Brown.
Survivors include his children, Jason (Kalena) Churchwell of Letts, IA and Amanda (Jason) Keniston of Fruitland, IA, grandchildren Dylan Pugh, Karson, Kylie and Lillian Churchwell, brother Rob (June) Churchwell of Fisk, Mo, niece Cindy Abbott of Fisk, Mo, wife in Christ Carolyn Churchwell of Linden, TN and many other extended family and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Mission Fund at Maple Valley Baptist Church in Nunnely, TN.

* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
