Ms. Marion Rodgers Beasley, 94, of Linden, passed away Thursday October 24, 2024 at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born in Perry County to the late William Robert "Rob" Rodgers and Lucy Ann Gibbons Rodgers. Her father passed away when she was only 7 years old. Marion married Joe George Beasley in 1948. She worked for Washington Manufacturing for many years but retired when she needed to help take care of her mother. She, being the youngest, took care of all of her family that needed her help. In 1996 on a trip to Linden, Joe George had a heart attack and wrecked. He lost his life and Marion was injured severely. She was in a Nashville hospital for therapy for 6 months. Marion was a member of the Brush Creek Church of Christ and worshiped there as long as she was able. She moved to the Perry County Nursing Home in 2019 after a broken leg and decided to stay following Covid. She has made so many good friends that work there and are residents there.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Joe George Beasley, brothers Elbert, Elmer, Watt, Coy and Fred Rodgers and sisters Verlie Rogers and Willie Matt Harper.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, along with a host of other loving family members.
