Mr. Nathan Allen Mercer, 70, of Linden, passed away Friday October 18, 2024 at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born in Linden to the late Obie Mercer and Bernice Hickerson Mercer. He was a graduate of Perry County High School, Class of 1972. He was a self-employed logger working in the logging business for many years. He loved being in the woods cutting timber. He also enjoyed going to auctions, riding around looking at new places, going out to eat, especially fish and ice cream, going to flea markets and just enjoyed talking to everyone he met.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by the mother of his children Cindy Warren Mercer.
Survivors include his sons Jacob Mercer of Dickson and Jonathan (Crystal) Mercer of Linden, grandchildren Promise Brenner, Courtney Lindsey, Casey Mercer and Jocelyn Mercer, great-granddaughter Blakelynn Lindsey, sisters Glenda Dill of Linden and Delores (Tommy) Justice of White House, a brother Bubby (Sherry) Mercer of Linden and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
