Opal Hudson Rainey

Ms. Opal Hudson Rainey, 94, of Linden, passed away Monday July 15, 2024 at AHC Lewis County Nursing Home. She was born in Bristo, Kentucky to the late Henry Hudson and Ruby Inez Childress Hudson. She was retired from Washington Manufacturing Corporation where she had worked many years. She was a member of the Linden Church of Christ. Ms. Opal enjoyed working in her flower beds, loved to cook and loved to sit on her front porch watching people drive by or talking to ones that stopped. She especially liked sitting on the porch when her son-in-law mowed and trimmed her bushes. 

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband William Rainey, a son Tony Rainey, grandson-in-law Madison Brewer, a sister Dorothy Whiby and brothers Ellis, John L., Ray, Billy and Dero Hudson.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara (Ronnie) Garrison of Hohenwald, grandchildren Misty Brewer, Benji Rainey and Kasey Warren, great-grandchildren Rainey and Garrison Brewer and 5 others, a brother Dale (Debbie) Hudson of Antioch and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
