Mr. Paul Dean McCaig, 91, of Beech Bluff, Tn., formerly of Lobelville, passed away Saturday February 14, 2026. He was born in Lobelville to the late Link "Skinner" Long McCaig and Odie Smith McCaig. He was a United States Army Veteran. Paul was retired from Consolidated Aluminum, where he was a Foreman. He was a graduate of Lobelville High School. He was an expert fisherman, enjoyed hunting, trapping, watching westerns, (especially Gunsmoke), and strong chewing tobacco. He loved sitting on his front porch watching the traffic go by and playing the harmonica. Paul enjoyed listening to the Centerville Church of Christ on the radio.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Lexie McCaig, brothers Glen "Cookie" McCaig and Jim McCaig.
Survivors include his daughter Mary (Barge) Burcham of Lobelville, a son DeWayne (Cathy) McCaig of Beech Bluff, grandchildren Brian (Ann) Burcham, Mitchel Burcham, Drew McCaig, Hunter McCaig, Deidre (Robert) Burcham and Victoria McCaig, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
