Ms. Peggie Ann Ward Ramey, 82, of Hohenwald, formerly of Linden, passed away Thursday August 21, 2025 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was born on in Linden to the late Lloyd W. Ward and Maggie Burcham Ward.
Peggie attended Draughons Business College and worked as a bookkeeper for Washington Manufacturing Corp. and also kept the books as co-owner of Perry County Nursing Home. She later obtained her administration license and was co-administrator of the Perry County Nursing Home. In 1985 she obtained her AAS degree from CSCC and began her career as a Registered Nurse.
Peggie was artistically gifted and enjoyed painting and drawing along with a variety of crafts. She was a talented homemaker and excellent cook who enjoyed baking and cooking for family and friends, gardening and her house plants. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a foster brother, Tony J. Peterson and the father of her children David W. Ramey.
Survivors include her children Ginger (Tim) Hill of Linden, Nick (Brenda) Ramey of Hohenwald, grandchildren Seth (Katie) Hill, Ashley (Robert) Dobbs, Sara (Nick) Hayes, Rachel (Justin) Marek, Hailey (Jared) Toft, Will Ramey and Abby Ramey, great-grandchildren Violet Hill, Connor Hayes, Fallon Toft, Oaklee Ramey, Wesley Hill, Maggie Hayes, Louis Hill and Haylen Toft, a brother Johnny W. (Glenda) Ward of Linden and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
