Mr. Phil “Big Arm” Jackson, 63, of Linden passed away Monday May 18, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Jackson was born in Athens, Georgia to the late Harvey Thomas Jackson and Peggy Carolyn Maynard Mackin. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He was a Master Welder-Millwright and was owner/operator of Iron Furnace Welding, working at a lot of places in Tennessee and other states. He had worked in Alaska on pipeline and for Graham Lumber, Iron City Welding and Boatwrights. His favorite hobby was building race cars with Zemer Engineering and Eric Hickerson. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother Walter Thomas Jackson.
Survivors include his wife Elaine Richardson Jackson, daughters Melissa (Jeff) Tatum and Amanda (John) Strickland both of Linden, grandchildren Jackson Tatum, Josh Strickland, Jordan Tatum, Makala Strickland and Izabella Strickland, sisters Susan Hembree of Georgia and Diane Chapman of Maryville and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
While visiting or attending services for Mr. Phil "Big Arm" Jackson, please consider the following guidelines:
* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.

Under CDC guidance NO OUTSIDE FOOD may be brought to the funeral home, but may be carried to the family home.
