Ms. Roberta Faye "MuMaw" Dotterer, 90, of Lobelville, passed away peacefully at her home June 25, 2025. Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 3:30 PM in the Northern Crooked Creek Cemetery, with Ronny Aydelott officiating services. Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Young Funeral Home from 1 until 3 PM.
Ms. Dotterer was born July 29, 1934, in Olive Hill, KY to the late Benjamin H. McGuire and Anna Katherine Bush McGuire. In addition to her parents. she is preceded in death by her husband retired Lt. Col. Richard T. Dotterer; two step-sons, James and Joseph Dotterer; and a half sister Mildred L. Spencer. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and attended regularly until her health started to decline. Her working career included jobs with Defense Electronics Supply Center in Dayton, Ohio, and also the Kokomo Tribune in Kokomo, Indiana. Ms. Roberta was very active in several organizations including Meals on Wheels, Gold Star Wives of America, American Legion Aux Post 6, Life Aux Member of Military Officers Association of America - White River Chapter, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her daughter Katherine Dunn- Ferrera of Lobelville; step-son Richard (Patty) Dotterer of Indiana; two step daughter-in-laws, Marsha Dotterer of Indiana and Roxy Dotterer of California; grandchildren Daniel (Danielle) Dunn of Linden, Lindsey Dunn and Brittney Dunn both of Lobelville; several other grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
