Sammy Sadler, Jr.

Sammy Odean Sadler, Jr., 31, of Linden passed away Saturday August 28, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Nashville to Lillie Darlene Calton Davidson and the late Sammy Odean Sadler, Sr. He graduated from Frank Hughes High School in Clifton. He learned to work from his uncles. Sammy was a welder by trade. He had worked for Watkins & Sons building grain bins and the Railroad Company clearing the right of ways. Sammy was a fisherman and hunter, who loved spending time in the woods hiking and enjoying nature. Most of all he loved being able to spend time with his children and the rest of his family. In addition to his father Sammy Odean Sadler, Sr. he is preceded in death by paternal grandfather Jesse Odean Sadler, maternal grandmother Judy Osborn Calton and grandfather Paul Calton, Sr. and maternal great-grandmother Linnie Calton.

Survivors include his wife Tayla Marks Sadler of Lawrenceburg, 3 beautiful children Sammy Odean Sadler, III, Janie Marie Sadler and Waylin Blaze Sadler all of Clifton, mother Lillie Darlene (Steve) Calton Davidson of Parsons, grandmother Gretchen Qualls Sadler of Linden, brothers William Sadler of Lexington, Gus Sadler of Linden and Steven Charles Davidson of Parsons, a sister Kassie (Bucky) Sadler Clanton, aunts and uncles Paul (Connie) Calton, Jr. of Summertown, Jimmy Calton, Sr., of Clifton, Rebecca Calton McFall of Clifton, Raymond (Cheryl) Sadler of Kentucky and Patsy (Jack) Sanford of Lobelville and a host of other loving family members and many friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home for burial expenses.
