Mr. Sherman Hinson, 78, of Linden, passed away Thursday October 9, 2025 at the Perry County Nursing Home. He was born in Hohenwald to the late L.B. Hinson and Estell Qualls Hinson. Mr. Hinson was a United States Army Veteran. He was a retired Machine Mechanic for Werthan Industries. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, just being outside working in the yard and had a passion for NASCAR. Most importantly he enjoyed visiting and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister Betty June Hinson, brothers Jerry, Bruce Hinson, an infant brother, and brother-in-law Joe Perkins.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years Ava Brannon Hinson, a son Tim Hinson of Greenbrier, Tn., grandchildren Maegan (James) Bricker, Timera Hinson, Sabela (Dillon) Knight, Chance Hinson and Jordan Hinson, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters Shirley Perkins of Springfield, Tn., Sherry (Harold) Lovell of Coble, Tn., Kay (Emory) Minor of Mt. Juliet, Tn., and Joy (Tommy) Godwin of Linden, Tn., a brother Dale Hinson of Mt. Juliet, Tn. and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
