Mr. John Thomas "Tom" Culp, 83, of Linden, passed away Wednesday October 15, 2025 with loved ones by his side. He was born in Linden to the late Roy Culp and Iris Moore Culp. He was a graduate of Linden High School, Class of 1960. Tom was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a long time member of the Cedar Creek Church of Christ, where he was the song leader for many years.
Tom worked with his father on their family Century Farm for many years and was a long time employee of Perry Farmers Co-op until he retired in 2004. Besides farming, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, tractor pulls, telling stories of old times spent with his grandparents, playing games on his ipad, and he especially enjoyed time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a son Corey Lee Culp and a sister Carolyn Culp Christy.
Tom leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Lee Culp, his daughters Tammy (Jamie) Clifton and Trudy (Bobby) Hinson, grandchildren Evan Cunningham, Ciara Cunningham, Brody Hinson, Garron (Hannah) Hinson and Justin Sipes, 5 great-grandchildren Liam, Everett, Nora, Landon and Caroline, a step-granddaughter Katie (Michael) Hensley, step-grandchildren Jaylon and Olivia, a brother Paul Culp and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
