Mr. Ronald Wayne Morris, 74, of Linden, passed away Friday April 26, 2024 at his home. He was born August 30, 1949 to the late James William Morris and Lucille Curry Morris. He was a graduate of Perry County High School, Class of 1967, where he played football all four years. He went on to college, earning a teaching degree and came back to Perry County to teach. He taught at Perry County High School for 12 years, before becoming Principal. When he retired he had been Principal of Perry County High School 29 years. Mr. Morris was a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Linden, where he was a long time member. He enjoyed listening to music, especially the Eagles and Jimmy Buffett and traveling with his wife and his family, especially going to the beach. He spent many retirement days playing golf with his friends at various golf courses. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his sister Faye Rogers, brother James Edward Morris, sister-in-law Nancy Morris and brother-in-law Ray Richardson.
Survivors include his wife Vickie Fowler Morris, a daughter Susan (Brian) Loveless, a son Austin (Jennifer) Morris both of Murfreesboro, grandchildren Morgan Loveless, Paige (Jody) Watson, Mason Loveless, Braden Morris and Jayce Morris, a sister Patti Richardson of Parsons, a brother Ernie (Vicky) Morris of Linden, a brother-in-law Roy Rogers of Linden and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
