Mr. Wesley Parrish, 91, of Linden, passed away peacefully to his eternal home, Thursday April 16, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services for Mr. Wesley Parrish will be held Sunday April 19, 2026 at 2PM in the chapel of Young Funeral Home. Interment will follow services in the Parrish Family Cemetery, behind the Spring Creek Holiness Church. Mr. Wesley was born on December 14, 1934 to the late Ollie Lee Parrish and Sally Emma Stinnett Parrish. He was a dedicated worker, holding many jobs throughout his lifetime, at several garment factories in the area. His last job before his retirement was working in the maintenance department for Mousetail Landing State Park. Everyone that had spent time with Mr. Wesley knew his favorite hobby, sport, or enjoying his day was hunting after Ginseng. He spent many days walking and hunting in the woods after this hard to find plant.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Bonnie Parrish; 2 sons in law Steve McKnight and Rickie Duke; sisters Ruth Parrish, Ruby Churchwell, Ella Mae Cook, Dolly McKnight, Evelyn Parrish, and Bessie Ledbetter; brothers Wiley, Billie, Burton, George, Lawrence (Red), Johnny, and Jimmy Rodger.
