Mr. William "Will" Earl Jones, 74, of Linden, was called home on Saturday July 11, 2020 at Perry Community Hospital. He was born in Linden to the late J.B. Jones and Mary Elizabeth "Dimp" Vaughn Jones. He accepted Christ at an early age. Will attended Perry County schools and later attended Montgomery High School in Lexington, Tn. He then went on to work for Lewis Products, which was later renamed to Dana Products in Hohenwald, Tn for 35 years, until his retirement. His hobbies included drawing, hunting, fishing, planting a garden and watching sports. He had a love for basketball, which he played wholeheartedly growing up. College basketball and the Pittsburgh Steelers were his favorite pastimes.
In addition to his parents, William is also preceded in death by his brothers Jackie and Jerry Jones and a sister Royce Jones.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years Rita Ann Jones, children Cedric Jones of Linden, Cheryl Jones of Chicago, IL, Pooh Bear (Tanisha) Yarbrough of Linden, Shannon Webster of Nashvile and Jennifer (Travis Thornton) Yarbrough of Linden, grandchildren Brandon Jones, LaTayia (Lonnie) Matthews, Nicholas Jones, Derrick Woodard, LaTela Webster, QuaMarcus Webster, Keosha Yarbrough, Kiana Yarbrough, Demarcus Lee, Makayla Thornton, Alayna Thornton, Mia Yarbroough and Takia Yarbrough, great-grandchildren Jaylin Webster, Lachlan Matthews, Lane Matthews, Kali Brooks, Jaxon Yarbrough and Jacelyn Yarbrough, a sister Lenora Jones, a brother Luther (Agnes) Jones both of Linden, sisters-in-laws Bobbye Jones, Judy (Paul) Vaughn, and Vivian Jones all of Linden, Jean (Luther) Griggs of Bolivar and Dena (Jimmy) Dixon of Cleveland, OH and a host of other loving family members and many, many friends.
While visiting or attending services for Mr. Will Jones, please consider the following guidelines:
* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
